Intervention:

Intervention is bespoke according to the client’s needs and can include:

  • One to one direct therapy, generally on a weekly basis or as agreed following assessment and discussion.
  • Work in the everyday environment including the classroom and out in the community supporting and embedding communication strategies.
  • Regular review sessions, for example, once a half term, with strategies or a programme to follow in  between sessions.
  • Training and support for the client’s wider circle-support workers, LSA, teachers, other professionals on the MDT and family.
  • Meetings with the MDT/school staff/families to agree and advise on strategies.
  • Production of resources to support communication.
  • Report writing
